More time for Harvey victims in transitional housing (KTRK)

Hurricane Harvey flood victims staying in temporary housing will get a little more time to get back on their feet.

FEMA announced its Transitional Sheltering Disaster Assistance Program has been extended for another two weeks.

This means people getting benefits for short term hotel stays can remain in those rooms through October 24. There have also been similar extensions in previous weeks. The extension applies to those already receiving the emergency benefit.
