GRIMES COUNTY, TX (KTRK) -- Two people are recovering after a helicopter crash in Grimes County during a shoot for a hog hunting reality TV show.
Authorities say the chopper went down at about 5:30pm Saturday near County Road 157, north of Gibbons Creek Lake. They tell Eyewitness News the helicopter was flying too low as it was getting footage and clipped some trees before losing control.
The two people on board were rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital in Bryan. Their conditions are not known.
The FAA and Department of Public Safety are investigating.
According to the tail number, the helicopter is Robinson R-44 owned by Perfect Filler LLC out of Magnolia. The FAA says that is a commercial company that does nuisance hog eradication.
