5-year-old boy dies after being shot in the face in NW Harris County
HARRIS COUNTY (KTRK) -- A 5-year-old boy has died after he was shot in the face Tuesday night inside a northwest Harris County home, according to the medical examiner's office.
The shooting happened at the home in the 9700 block of Shady Tree Lane in the Willow Wood neighborhood.
A neighbor told Eyewitness News he heard a gunshot followed by screaming. The boy was then carried to a vehicle and taken to a nearby hospital. From there, he was flown by LifeFlight to the Medical Center, according to a deputy on scene.
