Register for a Clinic below to build a wooden project and get a free apron, goggles, and patch! The event is on Saturday, September 24 at 10am, but registration opens September 12th.
Free show at Miller Outdoor Theatre
You can see Honky Tonk Angels on Friday, September 9th at 8pm. In this country music extravaganza, three wide-eyed dreamers meet on a bus bound for Nashville and sing their way along the bumpy road to stardom. With romance, husband trouble, and a little gospel thrown in for good measure, this torchin' and twangin' songfest features favorite hits including "9 to 5", "Delta Dawn", "Coal Miner's Daughter", and "Stand by Your Man", celebrating women's voices in country music throughout the years.
Music Nite on The Strand: The Fab 5
On Friday September 9th from 6 to 9pm come out to Saengerfest Park for Music Nite on The Strand. Music Nite on The Strand takes place on the second Saturday of each month March through October, 6pm - 9pm. with additional dates in March and October.
American Diabetes Step Out Walk & Expo 2016
On Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 9:00am to 3:00pm come out to NRG park for the American Diabetes Step Out Walk & Expo 2016.
The event is FREE for children and includes arts & crafts, a moonwalk, plus face painting for kids as well as kid-friendly entertainment. The location of the event is The Breakfast Klub (3711 Travis St. Houston, TX 77002). The date and time is Saturday, September 3rd from 10am to 2pm.
We Step Out to do our part to Stop Diabetes and take steps to improve our health! Participants are changing the future and making a positive impact in the lives of those who are affected by diabetes. You can, too!
Step Out participants commit to walk and raise money in this inspirational event not only because nearly 30 million people in the United States have diabetes, but because they more than likely know someone who is living with the everyday challenges of diabetes.
Once you register, you'll be given your very own Step Out Center webpage and will have access to lots of tools to help you fundraise. You'll be able to customize the page with your reason for walking, send emails to ask others to join you or donate, and even download Facebook and Smartphone apps for online fundraising ease. And of course, your Step Out Specialists (Association staff) will be here to help all along the way!
