HOUSTON -- There is a lot of busy activity along Allen Parkway near downtown Houston. Workers are setting up stages and booths for the Free Press Summer Festival.
The annual art and music festival will take place between the newly remodeled Eleanor Tinsley Park and Sam Houston Park. Organizers say attendees traveling for the two-day concert series can expect to enjoy performers from a variety of genres including country, metal, hip hop and pop music.
The line-up includes about 70 local and nationally known recording artists including Jack White, Zed, Vampire Weekend, Lauryn Hill, Wu Tang Clan, and Yin Yang Twins.
