Chicken by the Sea joins recall of canned tuna

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Brace yourself Tuna Lovers.

Chicken of the Sea is the latest to join the recall ranks over possible contamination issues.

Tri-Union Seafoods LLC announced certain cans of Chicken of the Sea light tuna fish may have been undercooked due to an equipment malfunction.

This, following the H-E-B recall of Hill Country Fare tuna and Bumble Bee's voluntarily recall of canned tuna due to possible health risks.

They are all produced at the same Georgia facility and officials are now confirming that a part of the processing machine malfunctioned and it's now being fixed.

No illness have been reported in connection to the recall.
