Some are calling it The Fight of The Century. Boxing fans have been waiting for a bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. for years.

The May 2 showdown has generated so much buzz it even prompted Muhammad Ali to tweet a reminder.

In the past, drug testing and disagreements over contracts and money have caused the match to be postponed, WalletHub reports. With cheating rumors swirling, some wondered if the superfight would ever happen.

In the twilight of their careers, however, the boxing greats will finally star in the battle that Pacquaio's trainer is calling "good versus evil" in reference to Mayweather's domestic abuse history. Mayweather has served jailtime for attacking his ex-girlfriend in front of his children and has other assaults on his record.

No matter how the numbers play out, ESPN said, the winner will go home with a new title: "King of an era."
