HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A fire broke out at a fast food restaurant in northeast Harris County this morning.
The Cloverleaf Fire Department received a call around 7:30am from employees inside this Taco Bell/Pizza Hut on Uvalde near Woodforest.
The restaurant was open at the time and all the employees made it out safely.
"The fire was caused from an electrical malfunction in a light fixture ballast," said Lt. Dean Hensley with the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office.
The restaurant did suffer some damage and will be closed until further notice.
