Two people found dead inside home in The Woodlands

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Authorities are investigating what appears to be a murder/suicide after two people were found dead inside a home in The Woodlands.

Officials say they were dispatched around 7pm to the home off North Wynnoak Circle at Shale Run following a reported shooting.

According to officials at the scene with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, there was some sort of disturbance between a married couple, and they called a family member to come pick up their child because of it. Family members, believed to be grandparents, came to the house, took the child and left. Another relative later went to the house and found their bodies.

Authorities say there were no signs of forced entry and a gun was found inside. Lt. Brady Fitzgerald did not know about previous domestic violence-related calls to the home.

The identities of the couple have not been released.
