Humble pastor makes unforgettable marriage proposal

HUMBLE, TX (KTRK) -- His non-profit may be called The Forgotten People, but here's one thing he won't forget.

Pastor Kyle Ewald from New Covenant Church in Humble proposed to his girlfriend, Hayley Crockett, while on their most recent trip to the mountains of Guatemala.

Pastor Ewald's organization builds churches and feeding centers for the village in the area. Hundreds of villages gathered to witness Pastor Ewald get down on one knee.

She, of course, said yes and the couple will be tying the knot in August of this year.

Pastor Ewald tells us the pair will spend several months in Guatemala continuing their mission work after they get married.
