Give your kids a break on Yes to Yes Day.

It's a controversial idea spotted on parent blogs that gives moms, dads and kids a break from saying or hearing "No" all the time.

One way this works is for parents to focus on one child.

You let them pick what you're doing for the day. Perhaps they pick a place to eat, followed by going to their favorite place to play or doing something else they love like going to the movies or hit an arcade.

You have to set limits, of course.

It's not a free-for-all in terms of expenses. It's about spending time together and not necessarily spending money.

Maybe you can turn a Yes Day into an annual tradition or maybe for your children's birthday.
