Britney Spears rep confirms star is alive and well after fake death tweet

Britney Spears is not dead, despite a tweet this morning saying otherwise.

CNN says the tweet by Sony Music was a message left by a hacker.

The account tweeted out "RIP Britney Spears," and then, "Britney Spears is dead by accident!"

Both tweets have since been deleted.

Spears' representative confirmed the pop star is alive and well.

Sony Music has not commented on the messages.
