HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders presented the Houston Community ToolBank a check Thursday to help with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
Sanders, who owns a home in Houston, said he wanted to contribute to those affected by Harvey. He grew up and played high school football in Bellville.
Through his foundation, Sanders was able to raise money for relief efforts -- with his teammates helping along the way.
He said a text message from his friend about people not being able to find proper assistance led to his foundation's manager finding the ToolBank.
"I was like look we got to help with rebuilding the city as well," he said.
Sanders said his family didn't suffer any major damages during the storm.
