Life-sized 'Elf on the Shelf' holiday mascot stolen in New Hampshire

DEERFIELD, New Hampshire (KTRK) -- Firefighters in a New Hampshire town are asking Santa for help in finding one of his own.

The Deerfield Rescue Squad says that for the past three years, they have put out a life-sized Elf on the Shelf named Zippy.

The kids love to find Zippy and take pictures with the elf.

On Monday, someone stole him and firefighters are on a search to get Zippy back.

Parents said they still don't know how to tell their kids that Zippy won't be showing up around town anymore.
