A man has been isolated at the North Cypress Medical Center because he is feeling sick

CYPRESS, TX (KTRK) -- A patient in Cypress who had been treated for an "extremely low-risk" chance of having Ebola has been released from the hospital after it was determined he does not have the disease.

The North Cypress Medical Center said the patient, who had recently traveled to West Africa, was admitted Monday after he went to the hospital, saying he was feeling sick.

To be safe, the hospital took precautions and isolated the patient.

Meanwhile, in Dallas, Ebola patient Thomas Duncan remains in critical, but stable condition. He is on a ventilator and receiving kidney dialysis. The hospital says his liver function, which declined over the weekend, has improved, but doctors caution that this could vary in coming days. He will continue to receive the investigational medication brincidofovir.
