AUSTIN, TX (KTRK) -- Texas Governor Greg Abbott isn't too happy with the Dallas Cowboys, and he's used a contentious and topical political issue to make his point.

After their 26-20 overtime loss to the New Orleans Saints last night, the governor sent out the following tweet that read "@Cowboy defense. More porous than the Texas border."

As of 7:00am this morning, the tweet had more than 2,000 retweets.

Saints quarterback Drew Brees hit C.J. Spiller with a short pass that the running back turned into an 80-yard touchdown on the second play of overtime, giving New Orleans their first win of the season. The throw was Brees' 400th career touchdown pass.

Earlier in the day, the Governor issued another sports related tweet, congratulating the Houston Astros on making the postseason.
