Coast Guard searching for missing swimmer

KEMAH, TX (KTRK) -- The Coast Guard and the Kemah Fire Department are searching for a man who went missing Saturday about 3 miles off Kemah.

Phillip Davis, 29, was reported missing about 3:30pm. Davis is described as 5'9" black man wearing orange swim trunks.

The Coast Guard requests good Samaritans help search the area off Kemah in the water and along the shoreline on the Seabrook side toward Red Bluff Point.

People aboard the sailboat Sea Dreams called the Coast Guard to report the missing man. It was reported that he jumped in for a swim and others aboard immediately contacted the Coast Guard as the sailboat drifted and they lost sight of him.
