Save your receipts! City of Houston is reimbursing for Harvey home repairs

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- As the one year anniversary of Hurricane Harvey approaches, new relief could be coming for homeowners who had to repair damage.

Later this year the city will launch a homeowner reimbursement program.

It will help owners with certain out-of-pocket expenses they paid while rebuilding their homes.

Homeowners are reminded to save receipts and any signed contracts.

Luxury finishes will not be covered, and not everyone will qualify.
