Child walks home after being shot at north Houston park

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Three suspects are on the run after police said a child was shot in the foot at a north Houston park.

Houston police said the shooting happened just before 8:30 Friday night.

The child who was shot walked nearly three miles from Lincoln Park to a home on Gulf Bank Road.

Police said the child was taken to the hospital, but could not tell us his or her condition.

We do not know whether police have any leads on the suspects.
