Car crashes into side of southwest Houston home

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A home in southwest Houston is in need of repairs after a car crashed into the side of the house.

Houston police say the driver was speeding and lost control of the car, slamming into the side of the house on Bellaire. The vehicle went across three front yards before crashing through the home's living room and into a second room.

The driver was pulled out of the mess and appears to be okay. Houston police say the driver will get a ticket for failure to maintain a single lane and failure to maintain speed.

No one was home at the time of the crash.

Residents who've lived along this road for decades say drivers are becoming more and more aggressive and need to slow down.
