Cab driver tells police he was shot by man with rifle

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police say a cab driver claims he was shot by a man holding a rifle in northeast Houston.

Police say the victim was driving north on Greg Street near Oak Street when he saw a man with a rifle step out from behind a building and fire a shot.

The cab driver drove to Fire Station 19 in the Fifth Ward just after 12:30 a.m. His car window was shattered and he said he was shot in the shoulder.
