HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was shot and killed Monday afternoon after a run-in with another driver in southeast Houston.

The crash happened in the 17000 block of Saturn Lane, less than one mile from NASA. According to police, the driver of a Chevy sedan shot and killed the driver of a truck.

According to an eyewitness who was behind both vehicles before the crash and shooting, the driver of the truck was the aggressor.

"The driver of the truck was banging on the widow of the driver of the car, and when the light turned green, the driver of the car sped off," said Sam Gruella. "He was running stop signs speeding, trying to get away from the guy in the truck."

Gruel said the driver of the truck was able to maneuver his way in front of the sedan and then pushed on the brakes causing a crash.

"He got out of his truck, pulled out his cell phone, walked up to the guy in the car," said Gruella.

Gruella said the driver of the sedan pulled out a gun and shot the driver of the truck, killing him. According to police, the two men worked together and had on the same uniform.

Police are not calling the shooter a suspect at this time, but he did willingly give up when they arrived. Police are still investigating to see if the shooter acted in self defense.

Neither driver's names has been released at this time.
