Badly decomposed body found in Buffalo Bayou

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Police are investigating after a body was found floating in Buffalo Bayou in east Houston last night.

Some kayak riders spotted it on private property near Tony Marron Park in the 900 block of North York around 4pm.

Police have not said how the person may have died.

Police did say the body is a black man and was badly decomposed.

The Harris County medical examiner is working to identify the body and determine the cause of death.
