Child on bike struck by car in League City, transported via Life Flight

LEAGUE CITY, TX (KTRK) -- A 10-year-old biker was struck by an SUV in League City, officials confirm to Eyewitness News.

The young girl was crossing the 1100 block of East Main Street just before 7:30pm when the incident occurred.

She has been transported via Life Flight to an area hospital. Her condition is not known.

The driver did stop and attempt to render aid. She told Eyewitness News that she feels terrible about the collision, which occurred at a low speed.

According to the driver, the young girl did not appear to be wearing a helmet.

It does not appear that the motorist will be charged.
