Houston police say an out-of-state juvenile has been placed in Child Protective Service's care after officers found her sleeping in a vehicle with two men who were not related to her.

Police found the trio around 3:20am Sunday in front of a gas station.

HPD says the girl has no family in the Houston area, and officers became concerned because of the discrepancy in age.

According to HPD, the girl was placed in CPS custody out of extreme caution until a more thorough investigation could be completed.

Police questioned the two men then released them.
