All over the city, bike shops are planning group rides for people to participate in Bike to Work Day. According to the Alliance for Biking and Walking, Houston ranks 37th out of the 51 largest US cities in the share of commuters who commute by bike or foot.
Today's event is designed to encourage more to ditch their cars and ride their bike instead.
