HCSO: Man stabbed in Walmart parking lot

HOUSTON

According to deputies, a 47-year-old man walked into the Wal-Mart in the 5600 block of East Sam Houston Parkway at Wallisville on Sunday evening and told people that he had been stabbed in the parking lot.

The store manager called 9-1-1 and the man was taken to an area hospital.

Officials said the victim was stabbed in the lower back three times. His wounds appeared to be non-lethal.

The suspect is a white male, 5 feet 8 or 9 inches, driving a red car. He fled after the incident, but witnesses recorded the plate number of the vehicle he was driving.

Deputies said three suspects have been detained for questioning.
