Suspected robber shot by store owner in SE Houston

HOUSTON We're told the store owner was outside his store on 76th and Canal when a man jumped out of a car and tried to grab the cash. Eyewitnesses say that's when the owner shot the man.

Police tell us the suspected robber died later at a hospital. No word on any charges.

The shooting today was just down the street from a jewelry store where that owner shot and killed three robbers earlier this week.
