What should Sugar Land name its baseball team?

SUGAR LAND, TX The three finalists were: the King Canes, to honor the city's history and prosperity in the sugar industry; the Lizard Kings, a nod to the state reptile; and the Skeeters, for the mosquitoes that are always out on summer nights during baseball season.

We're told if another name gets a lot of votes, then Sugar Land officials will let residents decide between that name and the winner of the current three finalists.

Fans can vote on the names through September 24.
