Assistant DAs help nab drunken driving suspects

HOUSTON The two attorneys were driving to Pct. 4 to take part in the county's No Refusal program. That is when they saw a vehicle in the woods.

The attorneys stopped to help and saw a woman walking toward them talking on a cell phone.

"We both immediately realized she had very slurred speech," Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney Tyler Dunman said.

"She was all over the place in her conversation," Montgomery County Assistant District Attorney Andrew James said.

A few minutes later, another driver pulled up to pick the woman up. However, he appeared to be intoxicated, too, and both were arrested.

This weekend, Montgomery County put sobriety checkpoints in place in addition to doing blood alcohol testing on site.
