Worried lawmakers invite Obama to NASA

A group of Texas lawmakers worried about the future of NASA and Johnson Space Center wrote a letter to President Barack Obama, inviting him to visit the Houston center and see the work going on there.

They wrote, in part, "We are concerned that JSC and its experienced workforce will not be fully utilized under your proposal for NASA."

Last week, the president announced his plan, which includes a trip to an asteroid and eventually Mars.
