Suspected drunk driver kills 2 in SE Houston

HOUSTON Investigators say early Sunday morning a pickup truck crossed over the median on Broadway and Hockley. The truck hit an SUV head on. A man and woman inside died at the scene.

The truck's driver was not hurt. Police say he was intoxicated and arrested him.

Law agencies in Harris and Montgomery counties are participating in a 'No Refusal weekend. Authorities are using search warrants to draw blood samples from suspected drunk drivers, who refuse to take breathalyzer tests.
