The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles on Monday began offering customers who are buying or renewing plates the option of the new design, which shows a Wright Brothers plane, a barn and a city skyline. The state also still offers its standard "Sunburst" red, white and blue plate.
Either plate costs a total of $11.75, including fees. The bottom-line price increased earlier this year from the old cost of $6.25.
