Judge orders Tigua tribe's casino to close games

EL PASO, TX U.S. District Judge Harry Hudspeth ruled yesterday that the electronic and sweepstakes games at the tribe's Speaking Rock Casino in east El Paso violate a 2001 court order that closed the once-lucrative casino.

The Tiguas has been fighting the state since then-Attorney General John Cornyn won a bid to shut down the casino, contending that it was an illegal gaming operation.
