Air racers fly high to overcome bad weather

The Cleveland Air Race Revival kicked off on Oct. 11 at the Cleveland Municipal Airport, with 10 racers taking part in two separate courses to see who had the faster planes.



The race was expected to begin at 8 a.m., but the bad weather that morning kept the pilots off the ground and some from coming whatsoever.



However, once the weather cleared up, pilots took to the skies to compete in either the short course, consisting of 60 miles, or the long course, which was a whopping 150 miles.
