HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Investigators have identified a woman killed in a tragic accident overnight in northwest Houston.

Deputies say around 1:40am, Heather McDowell was driving a white delivery van down the westbound lanes of FM 1960 at Cypresswood when she struck a pickup that was stopped in the roadway.

McDowell died at the scene after suffering severe injuries, according to Harris County Sheriff's deputies.

Four people were inside the pickup truck at the time of the accident.

A pregnant woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution, while three men inside the truck were not injured.

We still do not yet know why that pickup truck was stopped on the roadway.

The images of the crash show just how violent this accident really was, the front of the van severely damaged after the collision.

FM 1960 westbound at Cypresswood was closed for several hours for the investigation.
