Deputies identify 17-year-old shot to death in apartment parking lot in N. Harris Co., sheriff says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities have identified the teenage girl who was found shot to death in north Harris County on Sunday morning.

Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies made the grim discovery in the 17200 block of Hafer Road while responding to a report of gunshots in the area.

The victim, identified as 17-year-old Laurynn Galloway was found in the parking lot of the Costa Ibiza apartment complex with multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said.

Investigators who spoke to witnesses learned Galloway was involved in an altercation with a man in the parking lot before he shot and killed her.

According to the sheriff, investigators are working to identify this suspect.
