HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Some Catholic churches around the Houston-area started their Christmas celebrations at midnight during Mass. For many, it's a special time for family and friends.
Dozens of families gathered at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in downtown Houston for the special Mass, which is a big tradition for Catholics.
The Mass is filled with singing, praying and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Many family's tell me their Christmas isn't complete without this Mass.
"Every Christmas Eve we come here to enjoy Mass and have a good time with our family," attendee Alexis Hioario said.
