HOUSTON (KTRK) -- In a city that features a professional football, basketball, baseball and soccer teams, it's time to make room for a new team.

A group representing the Houston Strikers have their eyes set on bringing a team in Major League Rugby back to the Bayou City.

The group is in the process of working on options for a home field and facilities, a team official told ABC13.

According to a Facebook post, the team is getting close to announcing a head coach.

The Strikers are expected to compete on the field in 2018.
