Takl launches in Houston
A new app could provide Houstonians with relief when it comes to household chores.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Takl, an app that connects users with providers to perform small jobs and chores, has officially launched in the Houston area.

According to Takl, popular services in other markets include lawn care, house or office cleaning, junk removal and small repairs.

Users can order services to be performed in less than an hour or schedule work to be done at a future date.

In addition to letting users order pre-priced services, the app also lets users post custom jobs so that different providers can submit bids for the work.

The app's creators have signed up 3,100 service providers across the area to help Houstonians with their household duties.

"Takl is the only on-demand platform which allows for competitive pricing in multiple markets for customers," Takl CEO Willis Johnson said in a news release. "We offer people immediate help with small chores and jobs with our easy-to-use app."
