You may not have to drive far to find cheapest gas in US
A gas station in Spring is selling gas more than 50 cents lower than the state average and 70 cents lower than the national average

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- You can find the cheapest gas in Texas right here in our area at the Phillips 66 in Spring at 24900 Kuykendahl.

At $2.25 per gallon for regular, it's a steal for Regina McNulty who drives from Tomball to Missouri City every day.

"Every bit helps," said McNulty, "especially with an SUV and a truck."

Vick Sharma, whose family owns the gas station said the price is set through the company. At $2.25 per gallon, the gas here is more than 50 cents lower than the state average and 70 cents lower than the national average.

"It brings in more attention," said Sharma. "So, (customers will) want to come inside and grab a few other things," he said, excited about his bottom line. While he hasn't had a flood of customers yet, he suspects that now he just might show up in droves.

"Let's pray to God they will," said Sharma.

In order to purchase gasoline at $2.25, you have to have a Phillips 66 gift card. You can apply at the cash register, and they're free.
