Man allegedly seen on video during west Houston burglary charged

HOUSTON

Christopher Gomez was arrested yesterday for previous warrants, but deputies say he is the man seen in the surveillance video inside a home in the 18200 block of Flint Hill Drive on April 5. He allegedly took several items from the home, including a wallet and a laptop that was later left in a neighbor's lawn.

Investigators believe Gomez also broke into at least two other homes as well.

This morning, he was formally charged with three counts of burglary. Bail has been set at $100,000 per charge.

Authorities say tips given to Crime Stoppers after the surveillance video was aired on Houston newscasts led them to Gomez. The 18-year-old is also suspected in two other home burglaries.
