According to ABC7 Chicago, Diane Shogren was walking to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington after parking her car when she was struck by a pickup truck with a plow attached as it was backing up.
Officials said it was snowing heavily and visibility was reduced.
ABC7 reports that the driver -- also a hospital employee -- has not been charged, but the Lake County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
