Houston municipal courts were delayed until 10am. Anyone scheduled for court at 8am and 9am or jury duty at 9am was expected to show up at 10am. All other court cases scheduled at 10am or later will begin at their regularly scheduled times. All other court offices (Hearings, Bonds, Deferred Payments, etc.) also opened at 10am.
Anyone was was scheduled for court at 8am, 9am, 10am, or 11am but wasn't able to make it to court now has until 9pm, Thursday, January 30, 2014, to appear in person to request a reset. Warrants will be issued the following business day.
Individuals scheduled for court at 1pm or after are expected to appear today, and if they fail to show up, an arrest warrant will be issued today.

As for those of you scheduled to be at Harris County jury assembly, it's been cancelled for today. Jurors summoned for duty today do not need to appear and do not need to reschedule. County courthouses will be open.
All county offices in Montgomery County are closed.
