Jourdanton police Chief Eric Kaiser says a worker at The Bullet Hole was unloading a pistol Tuesday afternoon when the gun discharged.
Police say an instructor at a neighboring gymnastics club suffered a facial injury and was transported to a San Antonio hospital. Kaiser says the man, whose name has not been released by police, was alert and conscious. Further details on his condition weren't immediately available.
Police are trying to determine whether the victim was struck by the ricocheting bullet, a fragment or other debris.
Kaiser says police do not expect to charge the gun shop worker.
