Police: Man shoots, kills girlfriend's ex-boyfriend

HOUSTON A man was shot in his ex-girlfriend's home on Apple Hollow near Peach Ridge in Atascocita. The woman told police her ex-boyfriend showed up last night while she was watching television with her new boyfriend. The ex was trying to kick in the door, so she opened it and let him in.

"He got into a physical altercation with the new boyfriend," said Sgt. Greg Pinkins with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

"So they're both boyfriends?" we asked.

"Yes, and during the altercation the victim was shot who was the ex-boyfriend," said Pinkins.

The shooter claims he acted in self-defense. Investigators have not determined whether to file charges.
