Attorney seeks monthly records on Houston wrecks
HOUSTON
Houston voters on Tuesday will consider whether to retain the
dozens of cameras in service the past four years.
Attorney Randall Kallinen, representing bail bondsman Michael
Kubosh and others opponents of the camera operation,
says the lawsuit was filed Monday because the city has refused to
release monthly reports on accident rates.
Kubosh, who co-founded "Citizens Against Red Light Cameras,"
has said that cameras have never been proven to save one life.
City attorney David Feldman said he believes the city made an
appropriate and "good-faith response" to an open records request
from Kubosh.
