Fugitive nabbed in Friendswood raid

FRIENDSWOOD, TX On June 8, officers executing a search warrant in the 16900 block of Barkentine arrested Malcolm Roland Allen, 28, AKA Brian Mitchell Strull. Allen was initially charged with possession of a controlled substance, a first degree felony. The charge carried a $20,000 bond through the Harris County courts system.

The search warrant was the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation. Allen originally provided officers with a fabricated Maryland driver's license in the name of Strull.

During the search of the house officers located 3.5 pounds of marijuana, 53 hydrocodone pills and approximately 8 grams of cocaine along with drug paraphernalia, including scales. Officers also located a shotgun reported stolen in Garfield, NJ, more than $24,000 in cash, and documentary evidence to include an identification card in the name of Malcolm Allen and bank statements in the name of several aliases. Two Mercedes Benz cars were seized as a result of the investigation.

The identification card provided Allen's true identity. A computer search revealed the fugitive federal warrant which was issued in connection with a DEA investigation in Baltimore, MD. It is believed that Allen has been living in the Friendswood area for approximately one year.

Allen was turned over to US Marshalls on Wednesday, June 10. The federal warrant carries no bond.
