The incident happened around 3:30pm Tuesday in a church parking lot adjacent to Rizzuto Elementary School in the La Porte Independent School District. A Rizzuto student was waiting for his parent to pick him up in the Fairmont Park Church parking lot when a man pulled up in a black SUV and allegedly tried to abduct him.

The child reported that he bit the man and then ran away.

According to school officials, the alleged attacker is described as a fair-skinned male in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5'10" and 6'0" tall, with a medium build and black hair. He was wearing a red shirt and blue pants. The La Porte Police Department was immediately contacted and is actively investigating the case.

In a letter sent home with students, parents were cautioned to remind their children to be aware of their surroundings and report suspicious behavior or vehicles to a trusted adult.
