Vehicle in deadly carjacking found

HOUSTON The gold Taurus seen in store surveillance video was found today at an apartment complex in Pasadena. /*Tina Davila*/ was stabbed to death during a carjacking outside a cell phone store in southwest Houston last week. Investigators are looking for the accused attacker, Timoteo Rios, and they say he might not be in Mexico, like they first thought.

"Since we have recovered the Taurus there's a possibility he may still be in the area," said Lt. John Denholm with the Harris County Sheriff's Department.

If you have any information on where Rios might be, call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. You do not have to give your name and there is a cash reward.

Meanwhile, the man police say was driving the getaway car was set to appear in court Monday, but the date was moved because of a medical hold. Kennedy Escoto has tuberculosis. He's charged with aggravated robbery. Escoto is set to appear before a judge on Wednesday.

Friends and family of Davila said their goodbyes during a private funeral service Monday morning. She leaves behind five children. Davila was buried at San Jacinto memorial cemetery.
